Now Open for In Person Appointments!

I am happy to announce that I am once again open for In Person Appointments!

Great news: Physiotherapists, and all other Regulated Healthcare Professionals, were given permission this week to proceed with a "gradual and careful" reopening of all in person services from the Ministry of Health of Ontario and the Chief Medical Officer after a key change in Directive #2.

I have been preparing for this for weeks now and am excited to welcome you back into the clinic when you are ready!

Rest assured, virtual physiotherapy appointments are here to stay, and I will be protecting time in my week where I will continue to conduct these appointments from home. If you feel that your symptoms or concerns can be managed effectively with online appointments, please feel free to stick with this option.

A hybrid, customized, treatment plan that includes some in person and some virtual appointments, is also an option. We can develop this plan together.

If you have any apprehension about returning to the clinic just yet and have not yet tried a virtual appointment, I am still offering a 30 minute complimentary Discovery Session for Virtual Appointments to anyone who would like to explore that option, see what it's all about, or even just check in if we haven't spoken in a while.

Book a Virtual Appointment

In the next few days, I will begin contacting everyone on my active patient list, starting with those who have already contacted me about my "Call List" or have let me know they would like an in person appointment once they're available.

If you have any urgent needs or feel that you would benefit from an in person appointment, including manual therapy and dry needling, please send me a note using the button below and you will be among the first people I call to start re-scheduling in person appointment(s).

Things are going to look a bit different around the clinic when we meet again:

  • I will be wearing a medical grade mask, face shield and gloves (PPE or personal protective equipment).

  • You will be asked to wear a mask as well - you can bring one from home (either cloth or disposable), or I will provide you with one when you arrive.

  • We will no longer have an in-house waiting room. When you arrive for your appointment, please stay in your vehicle and I will call you at your appointment time, once I am ready for you. Once you enter the clinic, you can come directly into my office.

  • We will have hand sanitizer placed around the clinic - please sanitize your hands immediately after entering, and before leaving the clinic again.

  • All payments will be contactless - via credit card online (and you can store your card on file for future payments) or via e-transfer.

  • All patients will be screened for COVID-19 prior to their appointment. If you are feeling ill or suspect you have been exposed, I will be happy to reschedule your appointment for you.

Two things that won't change - you will receive the same quality, one-on-one care as before, and I will be smiling (behind my mask). :)

The health and safety of everyone in the clinic is my top priority.

I will be extending my buffer time between patients by 15 minutes, in order to allow for time to thoroughly clean and disinfect my treatment table, any used equipment and high touch surfaces, to change linens and my PPE, and to ensure there is no physical cross-over between patients in the clinic. I will be using only disinfectants and hand sanitizers that have been approved by Health Canada to be effective against COVID-19.

I will be posting my written policies and procedures on the Root Physio website within the next few days. Once posted, you will find them posted under this COVID-19 tab as well.

If you have any questions about any of this, please be in touch. I am here for you - both virtually and now in person!

Sarah
